Born in 1959, Samsun, Haluk Yıldız graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1981. Haluk Yıldız started his professional career at Karadeniz Bakır İşletmeleri and then held managerial positions in the fields of engineering and investments at Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi. In 1992, he joined Kastamonu Entegre Ağaç A.Ş., a subsidiary of Hayat Holding, where he held the positions of Investment Manager, Plant Manager and Assistant General Manager. Since 2000, Haluk Yıldız, who has been serving as the CEO of Kastamonu Entegre Ağaç Sanayi and the President of Hayat Holding Wood Group, also serves as the President of MDF and Particle Board Industrialists Association and the President of TOBB Wood Products Assembly.
